The Color Of Lilacs
I had imagined it a dream
Or was it all playing out in time
The colors I saw so brilliant
Each so vivid within my mind
I had fancied something extraordinary
A feast not only for ones eyes
But one for all of the senses
And for the beauty that it implies
The purples so magnificent
The pinks, the warmth it does show
The whites strike a kind balance
All three, an elegance they compose
The colors so undeniable
Its existence I knew to be true
I wanted to share it with everyone
No longer did I need to pursue
If a dream, would it be less fortunate
The colors, clearly my mind did see
I’m glad now that it wasn’t
For it would have only belonged to me
