After The Rain At Cathedral Rock
Alone with the raindrops—
Along a rain-soaked red trail
The soft powder turned rusty—
While my burdens, they fell
Faintly I heard whispers—
Behind a gloomy gray veil
As the butte started speaking—
I knew her voice well
She said “look up above you”—
And the clouds bid farewell
The spires and their splendor—
Once again they prevail
Being here in the red rocks—
It all feels like a fairytale
This without question—
Can heal your hearts ail
