I’ve Come To Take You Home - Original Oil Painting (with signed print)
Canvas size 11x14 (overall framed size is approximately 17x20)
Cape Hatteras Lighthouse— standing tall, watching the shores, guiding you home.
I used one of my photos from the OBX as a reference for this painting. I captured it a few years ago and liked the different perspective it provided of this magnificent lighthouse. One of the most famous lighthouses in the entire world.
I used a palette knife for approximately 75% of the time to build up a lot of impasto-like layers. This gives it the texture & look that my other painting have. I then used a brush to paint in certain details that I wanted to stand out.
The palette knife and brush combination worked out well, and blend together perfectly to give it that depth and fine detail at the same time.
It’s mounted in a black upcycled wooden frame with champagne accents to match the painting. Upon purchase, I’ll include a free signed print of the actual photo that I used as a reference.
