The Lonely Orchid

I felt like I was lost
My emotions were absent
Wishing I belonged
Or to someone that loved me
But I’m left unheard
Silent for the world to hear
Yet when everyone listens
They only hear my whispers
The thoughts of a stranger
And all I’ve ever wished
Stuck in a world
Abandoned and alone
An affinity to emptiness
And my bond to a lonely orchid
